Little Wings Playtime is a FREE playgroup for children aged 0-5 years and their parents or carergivers.

Kids enjoy interactive play with toys, crafts, music, story-time, and a snack!

Adults enjoy a barista bar and a chat with other parents and carers. During Playtime, each child’s parent or caregiver’s supervision is required at all times.

Middleburg Baptist Church, Little Wings Playtime Program Liability Waiver and Terms

Program description

Middleburg Baptist Church (“the Church”) offers a free weekly “Little Wings Playtime” for children ages 0–5 including supervised play, crafts, music, story-time, snacks and activities. Location: 209 E Federal Street, Middleburg, VA. Day/time: Wednesdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Fall session begins September 23, 2026.

Parent/Carer responsibility and supervision

Children must be accompanied and directly supervised at all times by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized carer. The supervising adult is responsible for the child’s conduct, supervision, and safety.

Assumption of risk

By attending Playtime, the parent/guardian/carer acknowledges that participation involves potential risks (including minor injuries) and accepts responsibility for those risks.

Release and waiver of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parent/guardian/carer hereby releases, waives, and discharges Middleburg Baptist Church, its officers, employees, volunteers, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action for personal injury, property loss/damage, or death arising from participation in Little Wings Playtime, except for injuries caused by the Church’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Medical care and emergency treatment

In the event of an accident, injury, or medical emergency, the Church may (but is not required to) secure emergency medical care for the child. The parent/guardian/carer consents to emergency medical treatment when necessary and agrees to be financially responsible for any medical costs.

Health & allergies

Parents/guardians/carers must inform Playtime staff/volunteers of any allergies, medical conditions, or medications and provide any necessary supplies. Children who are ill (with fever, vomiting, or a contagious illness) should not attend.

Behavior and removal

The Church reserves the right to remove any child whose behavior endangers others or disrupts the program. No refunds or compensation will be given for removal.

Photography and media release

The Church may photograph or record Little Wings Playtime activities for promotional, educational, or archival purposes. By attending, the parent/guardian/carer consents to use of images of their child unless they provide written notice to opt out.

Personal property

The Church is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property brought to Playtime.

Data and privacy

Any contact or personal information collected for registration will be used only for Playtime administration and communications and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Severability and governing law

If any part of this waiver is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect. The laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia govern this agreement.

Acknowledgment

By submitting the form below, I confirm I am the parent/legal guardian/carer of the child named, I have read and understand this Waiver and Terms, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
